When we need to take ownership of a file, we can try these six steps for taking ownership of a file.
1.Logged in as an administrator of your computer.
2.Locate the file that you want to change, right click on it, and select properties from the menu.
3.Go to the Security tab, and down below press on the advanced button.
4.Click on the owner tab above and then click on the edit button. If you did not login as an administrator you will be asked to type the password.
5.You will see a change owner box. Select your name to make you the owner. This works for a single file.
6.If you want to take ownership of an entire folder and all of its contents click on “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects”.
I hope these tips usefull for us.
